This remote workshop Lean Change Management Foundations is designed to teach participants how to use Lean Change Management to carry out any type of change in a more agile fashion.

Who it’s for

  • Internal and external change management consultants who consider themselves early adopters of ‘agile and lean’ within change management
  •  Agile coaches who know much about agile, and are now being forced into organizational level challenges
  •  Consultants and trainers wishing to teach workshops only (IE: some collect licenses from M30, Learning 3.0, Collaboration Superpowers etc and only run training)
  •  Employees in organizations (typically scrum masters, managers, directors and, in smaller companies, sometimes VPs or C-level although this is not a course geared toward execs)

Goals

  • demonstrate how to apply Agile and Lean practices to change management

Learning Objectives

Each learning objective is broken down into the 6 sub-domains of Bloom’s Taxonomy.

  • Knowledge (Remembering):
    • why change management needs modernization (LCM)
    • define lean change management and the difference between it and traditional change management (LCM, Building Change Framework)
  • Comprehension (Understand):
    • compare traditional change management approaches with agile and lean approaches
    • demonstrate the difference between traditional change management and lean change management
    • show how change resistance manifests itself and how to reframe ‘resistance to change’ as ‘response to change’
    • illustrate the cause of change resistance
  • Application (Apply):
    • build a contextualized change management approach
    • make use of light-weight strategic and tactical change tools
  • Analysis:
    • examine when a traditional, or modern practice is a better fit for the task at hand
    • experiment with using agile and lean techniques within traditional change methods/frameworks
  • Synthesis (create):
    • combine ideas from agile, lean startup, CM/OD in order to create a contextual approach to change
  • Evaluation:
    • assess when to use traditional, or modern practices based on context

Logistics

It consists of 6 remote sessions with the facilitator and the group to obtain the LCM certificate and Agile Explorer badge. To receive these, participants must attend all sessions remotely, with the camera on.

All group sessions are 2 hours long and are given through Zoom.

Each morning for 3 consecutive days we'll do 2 sessions of 2 hours with a break in between (9:00-11:00, 11:30-13:30)

No previous experience is required (although it is useful to have some experience in an Agile and/or Change Management environment).

Other tools we use include: Miro, Metro Retro, ....

Dates for this program

14, 15, 16 of April 2021

Timing: 9:00-13:30 CET each day for all three mornings.
