Applied Agility in Leadership: Developing a Growth Mindset & Catalyst Behaviors

The second level of our Agility in Leadership Series, the Applied Agility in Leadership program expands leadership competencies learned in the introductory Agility in Leadership workshop. Focused on the top half of our Agile Leadership Compass, the Applied Agility in Leadership program improves self-awareness, situational adaptiveness, social connectedness, and strategic orientation to improve leadership capacity. This portion of our leadership series vertically develops leaders at every level for increased awareness, balance, adaptivity, engagement, and empowerment in highly complex, rapidly changing environments.

The Applied Agility in Leadership program is offered in two parts, which each span three months providing for immersive learning, application, and practice:

Program Details

Professional One-on-One Coaching

Participants engage with an ALJ Guide in one-on-one coaching with a focus on enhancing self-awareness, managing emotional threats, balancing their power style with increased curiosity and humility, and developing more effective catalyst habits.

Peer Cohort Engagement

Cohorts are small teams of five to eight leaders and become the fundamental building block to share in learning, practice, and growth through the course of the leadership development program. Each cohort is professionally facilitated by one of our experienced Agile Leadership Journey Guides. The practice cohort provides a safe space for experimentation, peer-coaching, practice and reflection.

Scheduling

Curriculum is broken into interactive, structured 90-minute weekly cohort learning sessions. Each week includes education, practice, sharing, and reflection designed for participants to explore and develop their capacity as leaders. Cohort meeting sessions are scheduled based on Guide availability and alignment with participant preferences at the onset of each course. Cohort assignments will be shared prior to the program start with a cohort kickoff during the first week of the program.

For Part 1 cohort options will be:

• Cohort 1: Tuesdays from 2:00-3:30pm EDT; 7:00-8:30pm CET
• Cohort 2 is a dedicated women only cohort: Thursdays from 11:00am-12:30pm EDT; 4:00-5:30pm CET; 8:30-10:00pm IST
• Cohort 3: Fridays from 8:00-9:30am EDT; 1:00-2:30pm CET; 5:30-7:00pm IST; 9:00-10:30pm AWST (Note: Cohort 3 is full however we have a waitlist forming for another cohort at this time.)

Monthly global masterclass sessions for public programs enhance learning through deep dives into a topic, expert sharing, discussion panels, and participant stories. These sessions provide opportunities for leaders across roles, industries, and continents to engage with each other and our facilitators in shared learning.

The Part 1 global masterclass sessions will be held:

• March 13th at 10:00 AM EDT
• April 13th at 10:00 AM EDT
• May 3rd at 10:00 AM EDT
• May 31st at 10:00 AM EDT

Individual one-on-one coaching sessions are scheduled directly between the Guide and participant.

Credentials & Badging

	Upon completion of both parts, participants earn their Certified Applied Agility in Leadership program completion badge from Agile Leadership Journey.
	This program aligns with the Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Leadership 2 (CAL-2) learning objectives and includes professional 1:1 coaching, validated practice, and peer-driven cohorts. Participants may opt to receive the CAL-2 Certification upon completion of both parts of the program.

No Prerequisites

This program extends learning from the Agile Leadership Journey™ Agility in Leadership program. Participants are encouraged to first attend an Agility in Leadership program (formerly called Awareness Program, CAL-E, or CAL 1) but it is not required unless you are seeking Scrum Alliance CAL2 Certification (for which prior completion of CAL-E or CAL1 is a prerequisite).
