Lean Change Management was created almost spontaneously — from a book written by its founder Jason Little and a request to run a workshop based on this book. In 2015 the first 4 facilitators joined LCM officially. In 2017 the project celebrated their 100th workshop, 3 years later they passed 1,000 workshops in 30 countries, all through word-of-mouth. They have been growing their presence in the training industry ever since
At a certain point, the number of facilitators and courses became too big for one person to manage. But hiring more people to do administrative work wasn't an option as Jason didn't want the close-knit network of facilitators to turn into a business in its traditional sense.
One thing I knew that I did not want is I didn't want to wake up in six, seven years and be in an office with 20 employees. Because it's a whole new level of stress. People tend to equate success with size of business. That’s not my view. Companies that pursue growth for the sake of status, or solely for profit end up having to hire people like me to fix their broken culture eventually. I wanted to keep it small and nimble, keep providing value, but just give it a different feel.
Jason Little • Founder of Lean Change Management
Jason decided to entrust the administrative part of the job to Workshop Butler. The platform offered many features for handling event organizational matters with ease, even alone:
I use Workshop Butler for many of these tasks: to list courses on my website, for workshop evaluations, and manage facilities profiles. Just the manual effort alone to list courses would equate to about 3000 hours or 125 days, so Workshop Butler has definitely saved me from having to hire someone to manage logistics!

Now several years later, there are 58 LCM facilitators who have already run more than 1000 workshops all over the world.
The project is handled by just 2 two carbon-based people, and 1 robot – Jason himself and Sarika Kharbanda, the community lead. Mr Zurkon is their robot buddy who is pretty useful, for a robot.
Workshop Butler takes upon itself many time-consuming tasks and gives freedom in event management to facilitators helping them cooperate like a community, not work like an organization controlled from above.
